Games
Here are the games that I have contributed to as either an editor or a writer. They Came from [CLASSIFIED]! was the first commercial table top roleplay game I contributed as a writer for while “Rat in a Burning Cage” was my first full solo book. Eine Neue Reise Beginnt is a visual novel that I helped edit.
Banshee Hill Cemetery seals away the world’s most extensive collection of cursed treasures, vile evils, and restless dead. Despite the isolation of the cemetery, it still inters ordinary dead. Legends speak of vengeful dead rising from their graves, greedy graverobbers ravaged by giant rats, seductive vampires stalking among crumbling mausoleums, and the infamous banshee: Begonia Kavanaugh herself.
Don’t Open the Gates! provides a map of a graveyard suitable for VTT play, as well as sets, encounters, story hooks, and monsters for Directors to build an adventure around; it requires a copy of They Came from Beyond the Grave! to play.
This PDF is part of the “Storypath Tasty Bits” program, where every month in 2023 Onyx Path offers a small product that ties into one of its Storypath games.
In the distant future where Humanity has expanded far beyond Earth into a war-torn, conflict filled galaxy a young woman struggles through her life and adventures gaining friends, learning about herself and working to save her galaxy. The New Universes Project’s Eine Neue Reise Beginnt First Chapter follows Sumire Rembrant an estranged princess whom moves to an academy in space in an effort to help her sister and learn more about herself. As she moves through her adventures Sumire encounters her past, finds love and builds a new future for herself. This story is the adaptation of the first set of The New Universes Project Eine Neue Reise Beginnt stories.
Once the game is released we intend to have the following features:
– Fully functional cloud save and load functions.
– Game autoplay functionality.
– Vibrant and colorful detailed backgrounds and anime-style artwork.
– Alternating music tracks from character or situation to situation to make you feel more in tune with the story and the characters
We also will be implementing feedback from the community as we develop the game so this list as noted in our Early Access will change. You can provide feedback and comments through the Steam Community and on our Discord; you can even help shape the future of this game’s story and future projects by becoming involved in our community. What was have currently listed above is what is currently in the game.
They Came from [CLASSIFIED]! is a tabletop roleplaying game wherein Players take on the roles of agents, inventors, assassins, and all manner of spies working on the side of freedom, justice, and queen and country (or the President, if you’re from that side of the Atlantic). It’s the Director’s role to introduce mystery, drama, and sizzling romance while your agents push the adventure and plot forward, culminating in a communal story of dynamic combat, malevolent masterminds, and heroic deaths! This book is an avenue to all the fun you know from movies such as From Russia With Love and Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery and TV series, such as The Avengers and The Man from U.N.C.L.E.
While espionage is at the shadowed core of this game, surrounding it is the excitement of flashy casinos, the thrill of dizzying cocktails, the buzz of inventive gadgets, and of course forced dialogue, bad special effects, and silly plots. Don’t fret, agent: This game contains enough detail to be played with utter seriousness, and I’d expect you to take on villainous groups such as SMERSH and PHANTOM with all the grim determination of a spy looking to save the world, but gameplay and the indulgences of this genre are designed as much to engage and amuse, too.
They Came from the Cyclops’s Cave! is a tabletop roleplaying game of mythical adventure. Players take on roles as warriors, explorers, tricksters, and all manner of paragons sagas are named after, while the Director introduces mystery, drama, and magical wonders. Together they forge a communal story of distant realms, monstrous menaces, and legendary challenges! This book is an avenue to all the fun you know from movies such as Jason and the Argonauts and Conan the Barbarian, and TV series such as Xena: Warrior Princess.
Expect a certain level of hammy acting, over-the-top drama, and muscular bravado in this game. The movies and TV shows around which TCftCC! is based offered the viewer chances to see plenty of those while heroes were busy fighting against the forces of darkness. Though fantasy gives shape to the epic core of this game, surrounding it is the amazement of fantastical lands, the thrill of deadly quests, the power of mystical artifacts, and, of course, forced dialogue, bad special effects, and silly plots. Fear not: This game contains enough detail to be played with utter seriousness if you so choose.
They Came From the RPG Anthology! is a collection of They Came From genre pieces made available under one cover. Some of the genres featured were pre-selected by the developer, others will be voted in by backers of this Kickstarter campaign. These individual chapters cover types of movies, TV shows, games, and more that have yet gone untouched in the They Came From tabletop RPG library.
They Came from the Mean Streets! – our love letter to film noir, black and white suspense movies, and lots of people talking fast while holding cigarettes or pistols, or both.
They Came from the Bard’s Quill! – our first non-movie They Came From, as we explore the stage with new Theatrics and strive to emulate Shakespeare’s (and other playwrights’) plays via the medium of They Came From.
They Came from Bridgton Rectory! – period and costume dramas, tending to be set anywhere from the Georgian to the Edwardian era, encompassing everything from Jane Austen to Upstairs, Downstairs.
They Came from Cowboy’s Gulch! – our long sought-after Western genre finally makes its way to the world of They Came From, with reverence for everything from Sergio Leone to Carry On Cowboy.
They Came from the Interstellar Starship! – space opera writ large, with the possibility of going utopian Star Trek or grim and gritty Battlestar, all the way to my personal favourite: Farscape.
But that’s not all, as the RPG Anthology also contains a quick play version of Storypath, tailored to They Came From, along with the full Storypath Ultra ruleset! If you want to read either ahead of release, just pre-order the book using the link at the head of the blog.
They Came from the Billiard Room with the Candlestick! – murder mysteries! Everything from Clue and Midsomer Murders to Poirot and Marple, with a lovely assortment of detective features and tropes.
They Came from the Meticulously Planned Bank Job! – one of the genres that edged its way to victory; Meticulously Planned Bank Job explores heists, gangsters, and other grotty criminal elements glazed with a veneer of class and organization. Ocean’s 11 meets Goodfellas in this chapter!
They Came from Under the Skull and Crossbones! – renamed from Avast Behind (and there was much rejoicing) we get the long desired pirate movie genre for They Came From in the form of Skull and Crossbones! Pirates of the Caribbean, Muppets Treasure Island, Our Flag Means Death… You can find it all in here.
They Came from Beneath Capes and Cowls! – superheroes, fighting villainous rogues of all stripes! This chapter takes its inspiration from the Silver Age, the classic comics, and the ridiculous superheroes of yesteryear. More Mystery Men than MCU, you can play either with the tools we’re providing. And by the looks of it, this one will set a new record with seven or eight new Archetypes…
They Came from the Steel Dragon Fighting Tournament! – Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat, Virtua Fighter, Killer Instinct, King of Fighters, BlazBlue, Darkstalkers, Soul Calibur, and much much more. A genre all about playing the protagonists of fighting games, but in a collaborative fashion so it’s not just fight after fight, and a game where you can’t just depend on Close Combat + Might to solve every issue (despite the premise).
They Came from the Hi-Octane Apocalypse! – Now you get to play the Leather Daddy Archetype everyone has always wanted, along with the Road Warrior, the Noise Merchant, and more, and even better, you can add them into any other They Came From. Including Bridgton Rectory.
“Novas routinely and cavalierly seem to ignore things like the conservation of mass and energy, the laws of motion, the square-cube law, and many other guidelines used to bring predictability to a chaotic cosmos. For all the talk of ‘quantum entanglement’ and ‘fundamental forces,’ one might as well say that novas are, for all intents and purposes, using magic — or selectively editing reality to conform to their wishes.”
— From Gods Among Us: Novas and the Future of Humanity
Trinity Continuum: Aberrant is a game of superpowered adventure in the near-future of the Trinity Continuum. In 2018, novas — people with superhuman powers — first appeared following the explosion of a space station high above Earth. Now, 10 years later, thousands of novas have transformed the world, using their extraordinary powers to fight crime, clean up the environment, invent new technologies, and create wonders. The presence of novas has also caused problems, and some fear the powerful individuals — first called “aberrants” — due to their unpredictable powers and impact they have on the world around them. Still, love them or hate them, people can’t get enough of novas, and being one is a ticket to instant celebrity, fame, and fortune.
Some highlights of Trinity Continuum: Aberrant include:
- Details on the super-powered novas and how they fit into the Trinity Continuum
- Updated Storypath rules and character creation information for novas
- Dozens of character biographies to quickly populate the world of 2028

Porvenir should be a sanctuary for those who dwell in the Shadow; a place for assassins to hide out, retire, and wile away their autumn years. This jungle town is far from the utopia it’s purported to be. Someone has crossed a line in Porvenir, and it’s for your assassins to pick up the pieces, even as every member of this Shadow community guns for you.

Trinity Continuum: Aegis is a game of epic adventure and exploration set during Greece’s Iron Age. The setting features figures and events from history and mythology, viewed through the lens of the Trinity Continuum. In this game you’ll play Champions, Oracles, and Olympians — characters who have come into contact with the mysterious substance called ambrosia and been transformed into Inspired individuals with powers similar to Talents, Psiads, and Novas millennia ahead of their counterparts’ times.
The Trinity Continuum Corebook is required to play this game.
Trinity Continuum: Aether is a game of steampunk adventure, exploration, and mystery set in 1895 in the Trinity Continuum. In the decade prior, Nikola Tesla identified and learned to harness Aether, an energy source capable of spinning new realities or unwinding the effect to restore reality. Now, Aether users dot the globe, silently spinning and unwinding with ease while Victorian era society goes about unaware of the dangerous experiments taking place in underground laboratories, dark alleys, and foreign worlds.
You will need a copy of the Trinity Continuum Core Rulebook to play Aether.
The Aethernaut Collection – A small character folio of famous era-appropriate fictional characters (such as Jekyll/Hyde) with appropriate traits, bios, and Aether powers.

Titans Rising builds on the foundations of Scion: Titanomachy, explaining the grand conflict between the Gods and Titans. It delves into the very heart of Titanhood, revealing that some Titans truly are just misunderstood and that conflict based on whom someone’s parents are is problematic at best. The book presents Titanic Scions — not just as playable characters, but as heroes, despite their bitter conflicts with some of Scion’s more established names, like Eric Donner, Yukiko Kuromizu, and Little Mao. Can your game’s Scions repair the rift between Gods and Titans? How many Titans are better than their reputation and which Gods are worse than theirs? Whom can your Scions trust and whom must be destroyed once and for all?
Beyond moral quandaries, Titans Rising also opens wide the doors of player options for Titanic characters, including new ways to engage in high level gameplay as leaders of a besieging army who seek to reclaim their homeland from the Gods. And for games fighting on the Gods’ side of the Titanomachy, there are numerous plot seeds, adversaries, and Birthrights to be used against the Titans and their Scions.
Titans Rising looks hard at Titans, their Scions, and their servants as one side in the war, fleshing out the conflict between these two divine factions and delving into the heart of what it means to be the Offspring of a Titan. It includes rules for playing Titanic Scions, profiles of characters and creatures to fight against or alongside, and an in-depth look at how to use the Second Titanomachy in your Scion game.
- Rules for creating Titanic Scions at Origin, Hero, Demigod, and God-tier, including over 50 new Knacks and 60 Birthrights.
- Profiles and agendas for 50 Titans to use as foes or progenitors.
- 46 new Antagonists to challenge characters from pre-Visitation to post-Apotheosis.
- 27 ready-to-use story seeds, suitable for standalone stories or short arcs.
